Coach: Thomas Langley, ninth season (54-30)

Returning Starters: Offense, 6; Defense, 9
Inside the Huddle
The Warriors came within a fourth-down stop of winning the NCISAA Division II championship game last season. Much of the talent is back from that team and hungry to get back.
Angel Gonzalez returns at quarterback after serving as a backup and fill-in-starter for each of the past two seasons. He’s more than capable and will put up big stats in this offense if he stays healthy.
Basketball convert Luke Gaskins will open as the primary ball carrier with Tommy Miller and track star Jadus Davis serving as his complements.
Davis, Jed Wooten and Colby Girard will open in a three-receiver set with tight end Indiana Moen a capable receiver. Those receivers, especially Davis, can go the distance any time.
Andrew Threatt is the top offensive linemen for a team that brings back quite a bit, including Alex Green, who missed all but two games with injury.
All four members of the secondary – Davis, Girard, Miller and Luke Roffler – return, making that unit a strength.
Moen and Colton Fitch lead the 3-4 linebacking core, and while a little thin up front, Josh Owens and Threatt will be among the anchors.
Sophomore Bryce McFerson is ranked within the top five kickers nationally in his class, and a big weapon.
It wouldn’t be out of the realm of possibilities that this is the team that gets the Warriors their first-ever state title. Davis and his receivers are electric, Gonzalez has been waiting for this chance and the defense can shut teams down so all of the pieces seem in place.
