Indian Trail will use a new strategy to attract businesses.
Communications Director Abbey Ball presented a promotional video along with the town’s new economic development website, which she said will launch soon, during the Oct. 22 council meeting.
Ball said the goal is to attract “the right businesses” from across the state, nation and internationally.
The town partnered with The Agency in Charlotte to create a video that highlights the benefits of moving a business to Indian Trail.
“The video encompasses all that Indian Trail has to offer from available properties, regional connectivity and quality of life,” Ball said. “So everything a business would be looking for when they want to relocate somewhere or start a new business.”
The video markets Indian Trail as “one of the most sought after-markets in the Charlotte region,” with one of the lowest tax rates in the state for businesses. It also shows the area’s new developments, including a hotel and high-density apartment complex.
The video also shows mixed-use areas where businesses can develop. It states the town is always welcoming new businesses and has a team of experts to help answer any questions.
The video received positive feedback from the council, but the script will be updated to reflect the completion of new development projects before it goes live.
Ball said the website highlights the same aspects in the video, but in greater detail with additional information.
To cut costs, Ball said the town will be able to make updates on the website without outside help.
Ball said the site is almost ready to be launched.
