MONROE – The Alzheimer’s Association – Western Carolina Chapter, in collaboration with the Union County Public Library, will host a dementia-related workshop.
“Healthy Living for Your Brain and Body: Tips from the Latest Research” will take place from 10 to 11 a.m. Oct. 10 at the Union County Public Library, 316 E. Windsor St. Register at https://tinyurl.com/Oct10Monroe or call 800-272-3900.
The free program provides tips on how to keep brains healthy as we age and possibly delay the onset of cognitive decline.
“This is one of the many programs we offer to let those impacted by Alzheimer’s know that we are here for them from the beginning of a diagnosis and throughout their journey with Alzheimer’s or other forms of dementia,” said Katherine Lambert, CEO of the Western Carolina Chapter. “We encourage families and caregivers to take an active role in educating themselves to be prepared to meet the changes ahead and live well for as long as possible.”
