RALEIGH – Monroe Mayor Bobby Kilgore has been elected to the North Carolina League of Municipalities Board of Directors.
NCLM Executive Director Paul Meyer said Kilgore’s leadership in Monroe would prove valuable as the organization continues trends of being thought leaders on important topics like broadband access and opioid crisis, as well as improving service offerings and advocacy efforts.
“The league has evolved into a mission-driven organization, and we know Mayor Kilgore is the kind of leader who can help cities and towns continue that evolution and help us meet the immense challenges of a rapidly changing world,’ Meyer said.
Kilgore has previously represented Monroe on the National League of Cities Board of Directors
“I am humbled to continue to serve the residents of Monroe as well as work for other cities across North Carolina through the NC League of Municipalities,” Kilgore said. “This is a great opportunity to unite with other leaders and advocate for the residents of our city and the residents of cities across the state.”
