MONROE – Union EMS recognized telecommunicators from Union County’s 911 Center on Feb. 26 for helping save the lives of several cardiac arrest victims in 2018.
Union EMS holds its annual Hearts and Hands ceremony to celebrate the lives of residents that the county’s public safety staff helped save during the past year. Telecommunicators had the opportunity to meet survivors and their families.
Telecommunicators play a vital role in cardiac survival, because they are able to provide life-saving instructions to the caller including CPR and childbirth, prior to medical help arriving on the scene.
Union County 911 received more than 25 awards for their involvement.
