INDIAN TRAIL – Common Heart will recognize people working to move their families toward financial stability.
For the past 16 weeks, six heads of households have been investigating poverty in their lives and in the community through Common Heart’s economic empowerment program, Getting Ahead in a Just Gettin’ By World.
The community is invited to join in the celebration from 6 to 8 p.m. Jan. 24 at the Indian Trail Town Hall, 315 Matthews-Indian Trail Road. The evening includes a free dinner. RSVP to Corey.Tossas@CommonHeart.org.
They’ll join other Leaders for Change in Common Heart’s Advocates for Change. The program brings together leaders from poverty and allies from middle class to improve understanding and become community change agents.
“The goal for this program is personal and community change,” Executive Director Keith Adams said.
