INDIAN TRAIL – Metrolina Christian’s Tate Johnson and Camden Johnson powered the Warriors at the NCISAA 4A cross country championship Oct. 27 on a slick and muddy Jackson Park in Hendersonville.
Tate Johnson ran 18:54 and placed 21st overall while Camden Johnson ran 19:121 and finished 26th overall.
The Warriors also got scoring runs from Daniel Marian (21:01, 45th), Jonathan Street (21:03, 46th) and Grey Wooten (22:12, 60th).
Providence Day’s Christian Landis (17:17) won the boys race and led the Chargers to the team title, which was their second in a row. Metrolina Christian finished seventh overall.
Taylor Dixon led the girls (23:48, 31st) who also got scoring runs from Liza Shuck (23:52, 34th), Maddie Dooley (25:20, 53rd), Reagan Pruitt (26:40, 67th) and Grace Burch (27:02, 70th).
Durham Academy seventh-grader Allison Hall (20:14) won the girls race and helped lead the school to the team championship as well. Metrolina finished ninth.
