The Metrolina Christian Academy softball team downed Concord First Assembly on April 12 to improve its record to 11-3 and 6-1 in the Metrolina Athletic Conference. The Warriors have been paced by a pair of star pitchers in Mallory Broome, (who has earned a 7-1 record with 47 innings pitched and 103 strikeouts) and Cassi Carpenter (1.90 ERA in 37 innings pitched). Broome also has hit .580 at the plate with 12 doubles, four home runs and 24 RBIs while Carpenter has contributed offensively with a .420 average. Bailey Bjornson has added six doubles and three home runs to complement her .460 batting average.
The Warriors host Huntersville SouthLake Christian for an April 15 double-header before visiting Weddington on April 18.
