On April 2, Monroe High guard Jamison Crowder played his final high school basketball game when he competed in the 20th Charlotte Pro-Am All Star Classic at Charlotte’s Providence Day School. The game featured some of the top senior players from the Charlotte area. Crowder’s West team lost to the East, 102-90. Crowder, who scored six points in the loss, was invited to the prestigious game after averaging 22.6 points, three assists and 3.2 steals per game for the Redhawks, who finished with a 17-10 record. Crowder, who will play football at Duke University next year, said he was impressed with the speed of the all-star game. “That lets me know that I’ve got to get ready (for next year) because I know with football, it’s going to be the same way,” Crowder said.
