MONROE – A sanitary sewer overflow occurred Feb. 9 near Henshaw Drive as a result of construction debris accumulated in the pipes.
All pipes, pumps and equipment were operating properly prior to the overflow, which the county says was not of the magnitude to cause immediate danger to human health or the environment.
The overflow took place 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The county estimates 1,000 gallons entered The 12 Mile Basin Tributary No. 2.
