INDIAN TRAIL – The eighth annual Common Cupboard Golf Classic raises money for Common Heart’s Common Cupboard food pantries.
The pantry feeds on average about 800 families a month. Last year, Common Cupboard provided a week’s worth of food to more than 9,000 households across Union County, Matthews and Mint Hill.
The golf tournament starts at noon April 23 at Firethorne Country Club in Marvin. The day includes raffles, contests, lunch and dinner. Prizes go to first, second and third place teams.
Registration costs $150 per person and $600 per foursome. Business sponsorships, beginning at $250, are still available.
“Every fundraiser we host is an important piece of the puzzle to help us feed our neighbors in need,” Executive Director Keith Adams said. “Our golf tournament is no different. We invite local golf enthusiasts to come enjoy a relaxing day on Charlotte’s most exclusive golf course while supporting a great cause.”
