MONROE – Py Hearing & Communication Center offers winter break speech therapy camps.
Children of all ages are invited to attend the tailored speech therapy program, combining classroom instruction, music therapy and play with speech and language remediation.
“We find that children with delayed speech often benefit from small group camps because they learn from each other and benefit from other children’s communication strengths,” Danielle Py said. “Our clients have found tremendous benefit through attending camps and we often work with families who are provided services through their local school system, but seek extra support during school breaks.”
Winter camps will be offered Dec. 18 to 22 at Py Hearing’s Monroe Office, 2160 Commerce Drive. Children ages 2 to 6 attend camp during the morning session and children 7 years and older attend in the afternoon. Every moment of the day is structured to facilitate speech and language development through play and social interaction.
“My son attended both sessions of summer camp at Py Hearing and we highly recommend the program. The camp atmosphere was perfect – he had fun playing with new friends and we were amazed by the progress in both his speech and social interaction,” said mother Jessica Wood, of Mint Hill.
