• 1 to 2:30 p.m., Infant Massage Classes. During this three-part program, parents, expectant parents and caregivers will learn how to use massage techniques to help their baby relax, sleep better and grow emotionally and physically. • 7 to 9 p.m., Free Family Concert featuring The Rachel Garcia Band. The concert is part of Waxhaw’s First Friday event series and will take place in historic Waxhaw on South Broome Street between South Main and Caldwell streets. The Rachel Garcia Band will provide free family entertainment featuring classic rock, blues, reggae and today’s sounds. • 1 to 4 p.m., Ben’s Furrever Friend Celebration. Ben Shoniker and his family have reached their fundraising goal of $13,000 to cover a service dog for 7-year-old Ben, and want to thank community members for their support. Ben needs a service dog to help keep him safe, and thanks to community donations, he’s going to get one. Community members are invited to attend this event at Just Chillin’ Frozen Yogurt in Indian Trail, where there will be a dance-off, prizes and, of course, yogurt.
