WESLEY CHAPEL – Town leaders are asking residents to get themselves ready for this year’s National Night Out, scheduled for Aug. 7 at the Target, 6350 Weddington Road in Wesley Chapel.
The Wesley Chapel Volunteer Fire Department will have demonstrations, as will Sangrock Karate and the area’s sheriff deputy, Deputy A.J. Mainero. There also will be face painting for kids and a chance for parents to get their kids finger printed, which helps if a child were to go missing.
Companies will give out free items and hot dogs will be for sale. Dockwood Music will provide the music for the evening.
People are asked to stop by the town’s safety committee’s booth to find information on staying safe.
The event runs from 7 to 9 p.m.
