The Carolina Waterfowl Rescue group needs people this weekend and next to help install a chain-link fence on the group’s new property.
The volunteer group rescues, cares for and then tries to release waterfowl like ducks, geese, swans and other animals. They helped more than 2,000 birds last year, and hope to accomplish even more with their new Indian Trail home.
But first they have to finish work on their new location, and building the fence is part of that. The group already has the fence, it just needs help installing it, and needs donations of things like posts, old or new. Companies or individuals donating posts will be honored with a plaque on the end of the fence and special mention on the rescue group’s website, www.cwrescue.org.
