MONROE – Until July 30, Connie Agard of Lake Park will have her artwork featured at the Union County Community Arts Council building, 120 N. Main St., Monroe.
Agard has lived in Lake Park for nine years and uses her home as her studio. Her creative endeavors began with oil paint and later transitioned to watercolor and she now works in both mediums. She has traveled all over the United States, Europe, Asia and Australia and published several non-fiction books related to her travel business. Her paintings are based on intimate outdoor themes such as doorways, stairs, bridges and old barns. Her subject matter comes from her deep love of cultures and the inner relationships that nature lends to the background of everyday life.
Agard is a member of The Mint Hill Arts Group, Hacker Studio Gallery, Halls of Art, and Women Painters of the South East.
The Union County Community Arts Council is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., closed from noon to 1 p.m. for lunch.
