MONROE – Crews will be out at Belk-Tonawanda Park and in and around the 1886 Courthouse on Monday, July 9, in Monroe for shooting on the series “Banshee.”
The television show, being done by HBO and Cinemax, will be filmed on various days in Monroe through September. The show is about Lucas Hood, an ex-con and master thief who assumes the identity of the sheriff of Banshee, where he continues his criminal activities even as he’s haunted by the gangsters he betrayed years earlier. Hood is played by Antony Starr.
The show is scheduled for 10 one-hour shows, which will debut sometime in 2013.
