Girl Scout Troop 3106 wanted to do a service project in the community in honor of 100 years of Girl Scouting. The girls decided to collect books to donate to Mrs. Haney with the Union County Christmas Bureau, which collects food, clothing, coats, toys and other items for needy families and children. The girls from the troop met for their troop meeting and brought the books they collected. They not only met the goal of 100 books, but exceeded it by collecting 304 books total to honor scouting and support people in the community. The girls in the photo, from left to right, are: Genie Morris, Maddie Landis, Alexandria Smith, Anne Cloaninger, Helena Bailey (Center Front) Emma Burkart and Jamilee Moore. Troop leader Kimberly Smith is not pictured.
