The Community Blood Center of the Carolinas hosts several blood drives this month, which include: July 1, at Kohl’s, 601 Sherman Place, Waxhaw from 1 to 4 p.m.; July 4 in Waxhaw at 317 N. Broome St., from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.; July 6 at Hunter Oaks Club House, Beckford Glen Drive, Waxhaw, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.; July 8 at Shiloh Baptist Church, 2301 Rocky River Road North, Monroe, from 1:30 to 6 p.m.; July 8 at Lee Park Church, 2505 Morgan Mill Road, Monroe, from 12:30 to 5:30 p.m.; July 10 at the Union County Health Department, 1224 W. Roosevelt Blvd., Monroe, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.; July 11 at Bayada Nurses-Monroe, 1606 E. Roosevelt Blvd., from 2 to 5 p.m.; July 14 at 432 E. Main St., Marshville, from noon to 4 p.m.; July 23 Sports and Fitness, 13705 E. Independence Blvd., Indian Trail, from 5 to 8 p.m.; and July 28 at Siler Presbyterian Church, 6301 Weddington Road, Matthews, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
For every pint of blood collected through July 31, CBCC will make a financial contribution to support military families and thank hospitalized veterans in the Carolinas with a “Freedom Coin,” through the MFLCF Products for Good Program. Each coin will include a thank-you note listing the CBCC donor’s name.
