Bible Baptist Tabernacle to host special Independence services

MONROE – Bible Baptist Tabernacle will have a special service in honor of Independence Day on Sunday, July 1.

The congregation will have Sunday school together starting at 10 a.m. in the auditorium and regular service at 10:45 a.m. There will be several Independence Day presentations throughout both services. Each person will receive a copy of the Declaration of Independence and will be given information on the signers and preservation of the document. Also in the service, the church will show an address given by President Ronald Reagan on religious freedom.

Servicemen are asked to come dressed in uniform. If people have any military memorabilia or photos, bring them Sunday morning and place them on the table in the church foyer, 2900 Walkup Ave.

Sunday night at 6 p.m. there will be a hot dog and apple pie social in the church’s gymnasium.  There will be a contest for the best homemade apple pie.  People are encouraged to bring a drink and their best apple pie for everyone to enjoy.
