Marvin – The village’s first park is now open. The grand opening was held May 5 with a few hundred residents coming out to enjoy a day at their new park.
The park is located at 8909 New Town Road, west of the Wesley Chapel Fire Department. It includes two open fields, a barn for pavilion-type uses or rental, a playground, bathrooms, more than a mile of scenic walking trails, fire pits and grilling areas. Community gardens will be added later.
Parking passes for the park are required, and residents can pick up a pass at town hall. Non-residents can purchase a yearly pass for $150 at village hall.
More information can be found at the village’s website, www.marvinnc.org.
