Sardis Baptist to recognize high school grads
INDIAN TRAIL – Sardis Baptist Church is asking parents of graduating seniors to fill out an information form so their son or daughter can be recognized at the June 3, 9:30 a.m. service.
Forms can be found at the church and along with the information sheet parents should submit a current photo of the teen to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Grace Community hosts barbecue picnic
WAXHAW – Grace Community Church hosts a Barbecue Picnic in the Park Saturday, May 19, at Cane Creek Park, 5213 Harkey Rd.

Indian Trail Presbyterian looking to help neighbors
INDIAN TRAIL – Indian Trail Presbyterian is asking parishioners to notify church leaders when a neighbor may need help around the house.
From changing a light bulb or the battery in smoke detector to lawn work and helping someone go shopping, church leaders want to help. Nothing is required in return for the service.

First Presbyterian hosts woodworking event
MONROE – First Presbyterian holds a woodworking event Saturday, May 19, at 3 p.m.
The event will allow children to build a birdhouse for spring. No experience is required.

First Baptist hosts High School Summer Camp
INDIAN TRAIL – First Baptist Church will take ninth through 12th grade students on a High School Summer Camp trip to Panama City, Fla.
The youth will make the trip June 17 to 22, but the registration deadline is May 20. The trip costs $275, which covers transportation, food, lodging, a camp T-shirt and camp materials. Those interested in going can reserve a spot on the bus with a $50 deposit when they register.

Volunteers needed for graduation and fun day
WEDDINGTON– Bethany Church is looking for volunteers to help at the May 24 Bethany Academy Graduation and Fun Day.
Volunteers will help cook and serve food, set and run games and clean up.

Matthews Presbyterian hosts parenting seminar
MATTHEWS – Dr. Emily Engel, a child and adolescent psychotherapist and chair of the Child and Adolescent Team of the Presbyterian Samaritan Center, conducts a parenting seminar next month at Matthew Presbyterian Church, 207 W. John St.
The presentation will be followed by a question and answer session with Engel.
The program begins at 6:45 p.m. May 23.
