MONROE – For anyone who would like to become a volunteer tutor and teach adults to read and or speak English, the Literacy Council of Union County is hosting Literary Council 101 on May 16, June 12, July 19 and Aug. 7. All four sessions are from 6 to 8 p.m. at 105 A E. Jefferson St., Monroe.
These sessions will offer insight into how literacy expands individuals’ potential and prepare volunteers for the 10-hour tutor training at a later date.
