Wesley Chapel will ask residents to pick up shovels, saws and axes Saturday, March 17, in an effort to clean up Dogwood Park.
Small trees need to be cut on the property, as well as stumps trimmed that were damaged by beavers. Volunteers will fill holes with dirt and help tear down a chicken coop.
The work session will last from 10 a.m to 4 p.m, with volunteers welcome at any time. Any volunteers are asked to bring gloves, long pants and boots, as well as any tools they have to cut grass, brush and small trees. All volunteers will be asked to sign a waiver and those under 18 must have a waiver signed by their parent or guardian. Dogwood Park is located at the corner of Lester Davis and Weddington Road. The entrance is located on the Lester Davis side.
