As work continues on the Monroe bypass, Union County residents can have a say in what the Hwy. 74 corridor will look like after the road is completed.
County staff are currently working with Indian Trail, Stallings and Monroe to help design the future of the area. Residents can give their input during two interactive meetings next week.
The first takes place Tuesday, March 20, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m at Indian Trail’s First Baptist Church, 732 Indian Trail-Fairview Road.
The second takes place on Thursday, March 22, at CMC-Union in Monroe, 600 Hospital Drive. That meeting will also last from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Attendees will be asked to discuss issues and put ideas on a map to shape a “Citizen’s Vision” of what the corridor should look like. That will serve as the basis for the county’s plan moving forward.
