INDIAN TRAIL – Cindy’s Hope Chest and the Walgreens in Indian Trail are teaming up for the FIND IT Scavenger Hunt to support cancer research.
The hunt, scheduled for May 19, will start at Cindy’s Hope Chest at 4400 Indian Trail-Fairview Road, in Indian Trail. The center supports women battling breast cancer and gives them encouragement while they undergo treatments.
After the center, the hunt will move south along Indian Trail-Fairview Road to the Union Festival Shopping Center on Old Monroe Road, and then back to the Indian Trail Town Hall, 100 Navajo Trail, for an awards ceremony.
More than 15 local businesses have signed up as sponsors for the event as of last week. Businesses can buy into the project for $50 and help toward prizes for hunt winners. Top prices include Kindle Fires for each team member.
Race participants pay $50 to play, and the top three teams win gift packages. People, ages 18 and older, can sign up at the Cindy’s Hope Chest website, www.cindyshopechest.org, or by visiting the Walgreens at 13720 Hwy. 74. People also can call 704-821-1589.
