The Union County Animal Shelter will hold a rabies clinic for both cats and dogs March 24, from 10 a.m to 11:30 a.m. The price will be $10, payable in cash only, for rabies vaccinations. Microchips also will be offered. North Carolina law requires every cat and dog more than four months old to be vaccinated against rabies. The shelter is located at 3344 Presson Road in Monroe.
