WESLEY CHAPEL – Siler Presbyterian Church will hold a conference next weekend regarding life’s transitions.
The event will offer information and resources for people who are facing retirement, the challenges of aging or caring for elderly family members. Speakers include Laurie Abounader, of the Centralina Area Agency on Aging; Sally McNeill, a registered dietitian and a family and consumer science educator with the N.C. Cooperative Extension; Elizabeth Caviness, a local attorney; T.J. Philbrick, who works with structural issues of older homes, renovations and remodels; T.H. Roberson, a licensed funeral director; and Bill Romeo, the owner and advisor for a local American Prosperity Group office.
Speakers will discuss the normal transitions that occur with age, safely maintaining nutrition as you age, creating a financial plan for your future, legal considerations to remember, planning for and assuring a safe home environment and what funeral options are available to people in need.
