Union County Smart Start will hold free workshops over the next two weeks for parents and grandparents of young children, on the best ways to develop reading skills. The workshops will be held at the Monroe Library, 316 E. Windsor Street from 3 to 3:45pm each day, with Smart Start volunteers demonstrating five practices that children need to know before entering kindergarten.
