Employees at Carolinas Medical Center-Union donated 139 bicycles and helmets to the Union County Christmas Bureau on Monday, Dec. 12.
The donation wrapped up the hospital’s annual Bicycle Drive, organized by the Employee Retention Committee.
“Our employees’ response to this year’s drive was overwhelming, and we were able to top last year’s donation by more than 25 bicycles,” Holli Breeden, co-chair of the Employee Retention Committee, said. “So many of us remember the joy we experienced when receiving our first bicycle for Christmas, and we hope these donations bring the same joy to many of the children served by the Union County Christmas Bureau.”
In addition to the bicycles, the Safe Kids Program at CMC-Union donated 139 helmets.
