Monroe mayor Bobby Kilgore was part of the five member judging panel. Also included were Sharon Rosche and Suzanne Walters from the Union County Chamber of Commerce, Union Smart Start board member Caleb Barnhardt and Union County Clerk of Superior Court J.R. Rowell. Weddington High was named best band, Girl Scout Troop 698 won best Scout entry, Emmanuel Baptist Church won the best Christian entry and Union Academy’s lower school won for the best float.
