On Thursday, March 24, at 7 p.m. at the Indian Trail United Methodist Church, 113 Indian Trail Road, there will be a town hall meeting to discuss the results from the town’s recently commissioned community survey. The company that conducted the survey will give a 45-minute presentation on the results and answer any questions from the audience. Please come and join your community peers in this very interesting meeting.
In December, the town council commissioned the survey to be sent to Indian Trail residents to assess the goals and priorities of town residents and to give feedback on what our town government does well and where we could improve our level of service to residents and businesses. The town council is very interested in hearing more input from community residents, and council members want to partner with community residents to establish future goals and priorities.
As town manager and an Indian Trail resident, I believe this survey feedback is a very important tool in evaluating the level of service the town provides and will give us direction on how we can continue to improve the value of our town government services for residents.
The town has been incredibly successful in the last year on a number of fronts. The town will have a grand opening of the beautiful Crossing Paths Park on May 14 at 5 p.m. The town council authorized the purchase of a new 51-acre community park. We completed our first major construction projects on town-owned streets, held our first street festival, had the third consecutive year of clean, unqualified financial audits and opened a new ABC Store. Also, the town has launched a new Facebook page that is growing “fans” every day.
Please join us March 24 at 7 p.m. to be a partner in determining what direction the town should pursue over the next several years. Thank you for your support of our town government and feel free to contact me anytime at 704-821-8114.
