South Piedmont Community College has announced six finalists in the search for the next college president, and hopes to announce a new president in April.
Since Dr. John McKay, announced his retirement effective June 30, the SPCC Board of Trustees has been conducting a search for a new president.
The finalists are Dr. Daniel Bain, president of Independence Community College in Independence, Kan; Dr. Bradley Ebersole, vice chancellor for academic affairs at Baton Rouge Community College in Baton Rouge, La.; Dr. Natalie Harder, vice president for institutional advancement at Patrick Henry Community College in Martinsville, Va.; Dr. Alex Kajstura, provost of the Norfolk Campus of Tidewater Community College in Norfolk, Va.; Dr. Michael Ash, executive assistant to the president for resource development and external affairs at State Fair Community College in Sedalia, Mo.; and Dr. Stanley Sidor, campus provost/associate vice president at Daytona State College in Daytona Beach, Fla.
All of the candidates will be visiting SPCC for campus tours, forums with college personnel and public receptions with members of communities in Anson and Union counties.
Receptions will be held in Monroe Feb. 14, 16, 21, 23 and March 7 and 9 at 5:15 p.m. in the Conference Center, Salon B, Old Charlotte Highway Campus, 4209 Old Charlotte Highway.
