Gov. Perdue filled another vacancy in Union County, naming Stephen Higdon to the 20B Judicial District Court bench. The spot became open when Judge Christopher Bragg ran and won a seat to the Superior Court bech.
“Stephen Higdon’s years of experience as an assistant district attorney prepares him well to serve on the District Court bench,” says Gov. Perdue. “He has a strong track record as a prosecutor and I feel confident he will serve the citizens of Union County well.”
Higdon has 14 years experience as an assistant district attorney in the Union County D.A.’s office, during which time he implemented Project Bull’s eye, designed to identify and prosecute habitual offenders. Previously, he served as president of the Union County Bar and now serves on the board of directors for the Union County Crisis Assistance Ministry.
