Driver faces additional drug charges
Two men face charges after robbing the SunTrust bank in Monroe Jan. 7.
At 2:07 p.m., a man walked into the bank at 1908 Old Charlotte Highway wearing a stocking over his face, a dark hooded jacket and armed with a handgun. The thief, described as a black man between 5-foot-10 inches and 6-foot-1-inch, demanded money from the teller. After getting the cash, he ran out the door and into a waiting vehicle.
FBI officials aided Monroe Police in the investigation, which soon led to two arrests. Harold Elwood Pritcheet Jr., 54, of 209-A Richardson St. in Pageland, S.C. was arrested Jan. 8 in South Carolina and transported to Union County after waiving extradition.
Two days later Detrick Rashawn Gaddy, 27, of 511 Olive Branch Road, in Marshville, was arrested.
Both face charges of robbery with a dangerous weapon. Gaddy also faces additional drug charges, based on drugs found in his home.
