Thieves run off with TV
A homeowner called deputies to the 9700 block of Pierce Road on Dec. 31, after thieves broke the lock on the front door and pried it open. The thieves absconded with a television and caused $250 damage to the door.
Early morning vandalism
The new year started off with some property damage for one Lake Park resident. The man came out to find extensive damage to his Toyota Scion. A police report did not detail the damage but estimated the loss at $2,500. The incident happened in the 6900 block of Creft Circle.
Thousands taken in midday theft
Thieves took more than $1,000 in property from a home in the 5400 block of Concord Highway Tuesday, Jan. 4. It’s unclear exactly how the thieves gained access, as the homeowner found no damage. But someone stole a spray-paint tank, three power saws, five coil guns and two nail guns.
Unlocked doors lead to theft
Thieves took advantage of an unlocked door to steal several hundred dollars in merchandise from a Chevy Tahoe parked in the 7300 block of Cobblecreek Drive, just after midnight Monday, Jan. 3. They took a global positioning system and a handgun.
Unattended gun stolen from truck
On Dec. 31, a homeowner in the 1200 block of Hadley Park Lane reported his $1,000 Remington rifle missing from his Dodge Ram truck, which was parked outside his home. The truck was not locked, and nothing else was taken.
