One Union County team will go for their first qualifying time of the season, when they compete Jan. 14. The Stingray Aquatics group will be part of over 700 swimmers at the Rock Hill Aquatic Center, competing in the 50, 100 and 200 meter strokes in freestyle, butterfly, backstroke and breaststroke. This will be the first meet for the Scotto girls. For Michael Bose who joined the team this season, he had tracked his times as they’ve decreased with each meet. His goal is to reach his first ‘B’ qualifying time at the Rock Hill meet. And for Katie Malatras, Drew Kury, and Christopher Hubbard who have already achieved ‘B’ times in some of their events, they hope to add more qualifying scores to their list.
