On Dec. 30, a day after her chief spokesman said the process had not begun, Gov. Bev Perdue named Pat S. Robison to replace outgoing District Attorney John Snyder.
Robison, a partner at Caldwell, Helder, Helms and Robison, graduated from the Wake Forest School of Law in 1996 and served prior as an assistant district attorney until 2002.
“I feel confident that Mr. Robison will serve the citizens of Union County with distinction and professionalism,” Perdue said.
Voters will next have their say on the district attorney on the 2012 ballot.
