I’m glad to see the town council snap back and focus on priorities again, now that the police department chaos is behind us. While other towns like Matthews keep dragging their feet, Stallings is moving forward, asking questions and making sure they have answers so this sportsplex can be a success. I’m also glad to read various financial options are being explored and they’re at least talking with big-name investors. Traditionally, Union County has aimed low, and as a result, we’ve been last on the food chain. Stallings investing in both a sportsplex and a park plan, as well as exploring options for repairing Monroe Road, is a welcome change. While I haven’t agreed with the current board on everything, especially when it comes to the police issue, I say thanks for taking the initiative and working to make this a better town.
