For the third time in eight years, Carolinas Medical Center-Union has been named a ‘Hospital of Choice’ by the American Alliance of Healthcare Providers. The award is given out based on a review of how a hospital staff interacts with patients. The professional group grades a hospital on professional ethics, standards of conduct, patient rights, performance management, staff development and communication systems.
“We are honored to be recognized as a 2010 Hospital of Choice,” CMC-Union President Michael Lutes said in a news release. “Our doctors, nurses and staff deserve all of the credit for going above and beyond to ensure every patient has an excellent experience at CMC-Union.”
