Music fan breaks into Fairview car
A 25 year old Fairview man called deputies Wednesday, Oct. 20 after finding his car window shattered and several CDs taken from inside. The theft occurred at the 8700 block of Indian Trail-Fairview Road, just after 3 a.m. The only items taken were 25 CDs from the vehicle, nothing else was damaged or missing from the property. That investigation is ongoing.
Broke inside to have a look around
A Fairview man came home Wednesday, Oct. 20 to see a window shattered, but nothing missing. The incident happened in the morning hours, just after 8:30 a.m. It appears the thieves shattered the window and went inside the home, in the 600 block of West Old Dutch Road, but left empty handed. Nothing else was damaged or missing on the property. That investigation continues.
Heading in for some early morning shopping
A 31-year-old Indian Trail man returned home Monday, Oct. 18 to find thieves had paid a visit while he was away. The incident happened in the 1000 block of Andrea Place, where the man returned just after 10:30 a.m. to find two Apple MacBook computers had been stolen, at a total value of $2200. Nothing else was taken and there was no sign of a break-in at the home. That investigation continues.
Thieves forced open a window to gain access to a 50-year-old Indian Trail man’s home Wednesday, Oct. 20, only to leave empty handed. When the owner returned at 11:55 a.m., he found the window open but nothing damaged or stolen. The incident happened at the 1000 block of Exodus Court.
Porter Ridge student arrested on drug possession charges
Deputies arrested and charged a 17-year-old Porter Ridge High School student Monday, Oct. 18, after finding half an ounce of marijuana on him. Lake Park resident Hayden Allen McEleveen faces charges for drug possession and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Unlocked cars targeted in Weddington
Deputies advised residents of Weddington’s Greylyn Drive to lock their car doors, after a series of break-ins Monday, Oct. 18. The incidents happened on the 1200 block of the street at different times throughout the day, when thieves took advantage of the unlocked car doors. Taken from inside was a Global Positioning System device and $80 in cash. That investigation is ongoing.
