MONROE – The Literacy Council of Union County is getting ready for its 14th annual Adult Spelling Bee.
The event, scheduled for April 26, raises funds to help adults in the county who struggle to read and write. The program offers one-on-one tutoring and volunteer positions are available.
Along with the spelling bee, the April event will include dinner, music and an opportunity to purchase local honey.
Dinner starts at 5:30 p.m. and the bee follows at 6:30 p.m. It’s at First Baptist Church in Monroe.
