INDIAN TRAIL – This year’s Halloween Spooktacular features a little bit of everything – from a trick-or-treat line with 60 businesses handing out candy to a pumpkin patch of more than 700 soon-to-be Jack-O’-Lanterns.
The event returns 6 to 9 p.m. Oct. 20 at Chestnut Square Park, 320 Chestnut Pkwy.
The first 2,500 trick-or-treaters to arrive will receive a wristband to take part in the candy crawl line.
The evening includes several Halloween-themed crafts, as well as carnival games, storytime with the Union West Regional Library (7 p.m.), costume contest (7:30 p.m.) and showing of the animated film “Hotel Transylvania” (8 p.m.).
“Our Halloween event gets bigger and better every year – and we’re very excited to unveil a couple new, awesome activities for families to enjoy this year,” Special Events Coordinator Hayden Kramer said. “We look forward to seeing what unique costumes you’ve come up with this year as we celebrate Halloween in a safe, family-friendly atmosphere.”
