INDIAN TRAIL – The Town of Indian Trail will showcase elementary school artwork at the new exhibit, “Your Art, Your Story.”
The show opens to the public 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. March 21 and 22, as well as 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. March 23at town hall, 315 Matthews-Indian Trail Road.
Submissions range from elementary schools across town, including Antioch, Hemby Bridge, Indian Trail, Poplin, Porter Ridge, Sardis, Shiloh, Stallings and Sun Valley, as well as Metrolina Christian and Union Preparatory academies.
Each school was asked to hand-pick 12 special pieces for the show.
“It is always truly inspiring for us to see all the amazing art our local student artists create each year,” said Susan Didier, Indian Trail Arts & Culture program coordinator. “We are honored to be able to host this exhibit for them, their families and their wonderful teachers, and we know one day we will be able to say that the Indian Trail Town Hall was the very first public exhibit for some very famous artists when they were first getting started.”
